Rationale:-
It is observed that Importers & Exporters look at Country of Origin
Certificate as one of the commercial documents exchanged between buyer &
seller. There is little realization that a good knowledge on this document
can lead to lot of savings in Transaction Cost of Export and Landed Cost of
Import for Importers & Exporters, particularly while importing & exporting
to and from countries under FTA and PTA arrangement.
With this end in view the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of
India, while announcing FTP, 2015-20 made provision to enable the Exporters
& Importers to issue Certificates themselves instead of approaching Chamber
of Commerce and EIA for the purpose.
To achieve above objective, the Government of India has announced a radical
step to enable the Exporters & Importers to issue the certificates
themselves.
Prescribed guidelines have been formulated on September 19th, 2019.
Objective:-
The objective of this One Day seminar is to acquaint the participants and
share with them the modalities involved in the process.
